PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana achieved a milestone as the first Indonesian company with a German brand license for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). People know this product as AdBlue®. This development marks a significant step towards making diesel engine emissions more environmentally friendly in Indonesia.
Rama Nugraha and Genta Ginanjar, founders and owners of PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana, have dedicated the past three years to developing this DEF product. Their ambition is for Hasgara to lead in DEF manufacturing in Indonesia, distinguishing itself from competitors.
In February 2024, PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana obtained the AdBlue® license from the German Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA). This achievement represents a significant advancement for the company, aligning it with international standards and promoting environmental innovation.
AdBlue® is a diesel exhaust fluid made of synthetic urea. It works with SCR systems to convert nitrogen oxide emissions into nitrogen and water.
This process injects the fluid into the exhaust gas, releasing ammonia from urea. Ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides on the catalyst, producing nitrogen and water. These components are naturally occurring in the atmosphere, thereby reducing harmful emissions.
This development is crucial for improving air quality, representing a significant measure towards cleaner air. By producing AdBlue® to international standards, Hasgara contributes to environmental sustainability and positions itself as a pioneer in Indonesia’s DEF manufacturing sector.
