Armed with Adblue® License, Hasgara Confident of Being Able to Clean Diesel Engine Exhaust Gas in Indonesia

Mar 16, 2025

PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana has successfully made history by becoming the first German Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) brand holder in Indonesia. Rama Nugraha and Genta Ginanjar are the Founders, Co-Founders, and Owners of PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana. They have successfully made history by becoming the first German Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) brand holder in Indonesia. The DEF brand they hold is AdBlue®.

This product makes the exhaust gas from diesel engine vehicles more environmentally friendly. Rama and Genta along with the Hasgara team have been developing this DEF product for the previous three years. Their dream is for Hasgara to become one of the pioneers of DEF manufacturing in Indonesia and to excel among its competitors.

PT Hasgara Cipta Gusana has obtained an AdBlue® license from the German Verband der Automonilindustrie (VDA) since February 2024. Obtaining this license is one of their dreams that has come true. They have become the first Indonesian company to produce AdBlue® with international standards. A big step towards environmentally-based innovation.

AdBlue® consists of synthetic urea and functions as a diesel engine exhaust fluid. It works with certain vehicle catalytic converters using a Reduction System (SCR) to convert nitrogen oxide emissions into environmentally friendly nitrogen and water. AdBlue® converts nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water by using synthetic urea.

Exhaust gas, which functions as a reducing agent, is directly injected into it. The released ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides on the catalyst to form nitrogen and water, which are natural components of air. Thus, nitrogen oxide emissions can be reduced. This is very important as a meaningful action for cleaner air on Earth.
