Hasgara DEF – AdBlue®

For the past several years, the automotive industry have been realizing the urgency to protect the environment from the air pollution that keeps getting worse every year. In the year of 2022, almost every car and truck manufacturer in Indonesia began to shift to a more environmentally-friendly emission system in order to be qualified for Euro 4 emission standard.

In response to this, Hasgara has developed and manufactured a product that will contribute to diesel engines in Indonesia to meeting Euro 4 emission standard. Hasgara has become the first company in Indonesia to be certified by German Association of the Automotive Industry or Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) as a certified AdBlue® manufacturer.

AdBlue®, also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), is a fluid used in modern diesel engine vehicles to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) harmful to the environment. NOx is one of the greenhouse gases contributing to global warming and climate change. AdBlue® has been proven to support the implementation of the goals of the agreement, especially in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from diesel engine vehicles.

By using AdBlue®, diesel vehicles can reduce NOx emissions to levels allowed by stricter emission standards, thus helping countries achieve emission reduction targets set in the Paris Agreement. Therefore, although not explicitly mentioned, AdBlue plays an important role in supporting global efforts to reduce the impacts of climate change.
